Farm Walk (Warning: Graphic Dead Bird Photo!)

Mum and Auntie Ashley took me on a Farm walk ..... little did we know the horror that we would see!

Mum always gives me Hugs and Kisses before we set off on our adventures!

Mum explained that I had to stay on my lead until we got to the field because there were livestock about, so I had a sniff around to see if I could find any ...

 I found a Sheep!

 and then ....

 I found a Chicken!

I watched him walk around and cluck, he looked like quite a nice little feathered fella!

After some more sniffing around the stone houses and barns we go to the field and I was let off my lead to run free!

I'm smiling because I love being free to run around!

Look at the view from this field, its so beautiful!

I love to come here, its so quiet and the scenery is wonderful!

Relaxing, Sitting and taking in the Scenery!

 Running around the field.

 I just love it here!

I love spending time with my Mum and Aunty Ashley!

After running around like a crazy Puggy we finally got to the bottom of the big field and had to get over the style!

Mum has to pick me up and carry me over because I'm too small to jump over myself!

Then we walked on the trail that takes us home ....

I stopped because just behind me was a horrible sight ...

Mum screamed and so did Ashley, I barked and barked ...

It was a DEAD HEADLESS BIRD it was horrible!

Mum said that it must have been attacking The sheep in the field and The Farmer killed it.

Sniffing for pee-mail and looking for clues of what could have happened to the poor bird!

Can you see me??

 Rolling in the grass!

I guess the sight of the headless bird wasn't so disturbing for me, I got over it quickly with a good old roll in a DEAD  MOUSE in the grass! Hee,Hee!

Mum wasn't happy and I had to go home and have a bath!
What an adventure, all this excitement, phew!
I need a lay down!!

  1. Wow Frank that looked great. I'd be up there trying to get the dead bird. What rolls, what walks, what sniffing. Woofingly wonderful pal. Have a terrific Thursday.
    Best wishes Molly

  4. We'll tell you again, you live in such a beautiful place! We are so jealous.

That bird was yucky. But I bet rolling in the dead mouse was fun. I love doing that, he he he.

  8. Oh my... a HEADLESS BIRD... STUCK on a fence post no less. WELL, the deaded Mouse was a REAL PLUS though. I can NOT understand why PEEPS don't appreciate the Fine AROMA of good ROLLING MATERIAL. SHEESH. You were right ... that was a Beautiful view.

  9. Do you think the Farmer was trying some New Orleans Voodoo on the birds circling above...geeze how big would that bird of had to been to be bothering a SHEEP? Like big bird? You must have super giant flying birds in England..that eat sheep? Scary...anyway my mom thinks your the cutest..i am a little jealous..and I bet your mom cooks...sigh...

  10. Dear me not a nice site!! the farmer must of put it there to show the other birds just what would happen to then!!
Does look a nice place for a walk
    Have a good week
    See Yea George xxx

  11. More fun times with your Mom - looks like you had a great time there, Frank. That headless bird is pretty scary - but we know sometimes those big birds can be annoying.

We wish we could get to run free in the fields too, but Mom says we can't be trusted:(

Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning

  12. Poor Birdie!! I'm thinking it must have been a mass murderer to have cut the head off and place it on a fence! Keep a watch out Tank, maybe you can sniff out the culprit and bring him to justice!

  13. Hi Frank,
You have the best hiking trips. I wish I lived closer instead of across "The Pond". I would so go hiking with you as long as there are no more headless birds & a dead mouse.

  14. OH Tank
I love your walk of the farm but I would be as upset as you to see the dead birdie.
    Did you get your bath?

  15. That sounds like quite the adventure Frank. We love to roll in dead things too. It so much fun until we need to take a shower afterwards!

    Maddy & Owen

  16. Hi Frank :)

I've only just found your blog, it's great!

What farm did you mum take you to? I'm looking for new places to take Teddy (Yorkshire Terrier) for walks off the lead away from roads and it looks perfect.
