Friday Feelings.

Soon it will be September, the summer is almost over, we haven't had much of a Summer here at all this year as all it has done is rain, I was lucky enough to spend the very little sunny days we had on long walks with big adventures!

I have noticed that it is getting darker earlier in the nights now and much, much colder!

The Autumn leaves have started to fall and to change colour, the Autumn fruits are in bloom and I have felt a little bit of excitement for all the fun that comes with this time of year!

Mum has put the Pumpkin Partylite candles on at night and the smell is so warming and cosy, I want to hibernate, I'm going to spend all of today snuggled up in Mum and Dads bed just cuddled and warm sleeping....Zzzzzz.

Power of Paw Needed For Ernie!

Ernie has to have an X-Ray and Treatment for his hip problems so please can you send him your healing thoughts, prayers and power of paw to make him better!

We have cancelled our Mini-Break for him to get treatment and to rest until he is better for our annual 'Dog Holiday' in October!

Farm Walk (Warning: Graphic Dead Bird Photo!)

Mum and Auntie Ashley took me on a Farm walk ..... little did we know the horror that we would see!

 Mum always gives me Hugs and Kisses before we set off on our adventures!

Mum explained that I had to stay on my lead until we got to the field because there were livestock about, so I had a sniff around to see if I could find any ...

 I found a Sheep!

 and then ....

 I found a Chicken!

 I watched him walk around and cluck, he looked like quite a nice little feathered fella!

After some more sniffing around the stone houses and barns we go to the field and I was let off my lead to run free!

I'm smiling because I love being free to run around!

 Look at the view from this field, its so beautiful!

I love to come here, its so quiet and the scenery is wonderful!

After running around like a crazy Puggy we finally got to the bottom of the big field and had to get over the style!

Mum has to pick me up and carry me over because I'm too small to jump over myself!

Then we walked on the trail that takes us home ....

I stopped because just behind me was a horrible sight ... 

Mum screamed and so did Ashley, I barked and barked ...

It was a DEAD HEADLESS BIRD it was horrible!

Mum said that it must have been attacking The sheep in the field and The Farmer killed it.

Sniffing for pee-mail and looking for clues of what could have happened to the poor bird!

I guess the sight of the headless bird wasn't so disturbing for me, I got over it quickly with a good old roll in a DEAD  MOUSE in the grass! Hee,Hee!

Mum wasn't happy and I had to go home and have a bath!

What an adventure, all this excitement, phew!
I need a lay down!!

Mini-Break at Elmfield Bed and Breakfast!

I’m going for a little mini break in Elmfield Bed & Breakfast!

Mum asked me if I wanted to go for a little adventure, she had been talking to Ernie’s Mum and they decided that we should all go away for two nights together! Me, Mum, Dad, Ernie and his Mum and Dad (Sam and Pete) will be soon off on an adventure to Devon!
I was born in Devon so it will be nice to go back to my birth place!
I’m very excited now, we have our annual “Dog Holiday” coming up in October but to go away on a trip with Ernie before that is a real treat, it will be loads of fun!

Elmfield Bed & Breakfast is ideally located for walking on Dartmoor and is less than half an hour away from the River Tamar that leads you into Cornwall. Elmfield is surrounded by the glorious Devonshire countryside and innumerable local walks.  The acre of garden looks over Dartmoor and its guests are welcome to wander at will or sit and relax.
I can see lots of playtime and long walks for me here!

The former farmhouse of Elmfield is said to have been built in 1836 and was originally the principal farm in the centre of this Saxon village.

The old market town of Okehampton with its Norman castle is only 15 minutes away and the quaint Hatherleigh is 10 minutes away.

I'm looking forward to this so much, its a big adventure for such a little Puggy!

I just love spending time with Ernie, his Pawrents and of corse my Pawrents!
The news of this Mini-Break has made my usually Moody Monday a very happy one!
