A Flash-Back Friday Kindda Monday!

Today I'm looking back at my 2010 "Dog Holiday" when we went to the beautiful Wattles Lodge in Devon.

Champagne and fresh eggs on arrival.

The Lodges were gorgeous and secluded in the heart of the countryside.

 I played with the chickens!

Me and Ernie enjoyed the vast fields to run around and enjoyed the lake with the ducks!

The Autumn colours were wonderful.

We saw Horses and other wildlife all the time!

 The beautiful houses.

We enjoyed long walks and stopped at a pub for refreshments .. which means a nice cold pint for me!

 Yummy!

Sam found conkers - she had never seen them before!

Ernie enjoyed the quiet time at the Lodge but also enjoyed playing with me and Dad!

Why isn't this chicken running away from us Ernie??

Me and Ernie played all the time, even when the Pawrents were relaxing!

I chew on Ernie's big bone! It was HUGE!

Hot Tub Time!

We had such an AMAZING holiday, it was the most fun in the world and Mum, Dad, Sam and Pete also had an excellent time!!

Countdown to the Dog Holiday 2012!

We are now on the Countdown to the Dog Holiday 2012 its just over a month to go!

The Old Sawmill
Clunbury, Nr. Ludlow, Shropshire

This is our Dog Holiday destination, it is a dog friendly Holiday Cottage Set in the Clun valley, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, this converted property was originally part of an old sawmill. Now providing spacious and tastefully furnished accommodation of a very high standard, it makes a wonderfully relaxing base, ideal for walkers (that's me!) and cyclists – the Offa’s Dyke long distance footpath can be joined nearby. Ludlow, home to many renowned restaurants, a splendid castle and an annual festival, is just 13 miles away. Peaceful, uncrowned and still largely devoted to farming, this is one of England’s most unspoilt counties, as we’ll discover during our break in our holiday cottage in Shropshire.
This wonderful Accommodation has a Hot tub and a Barbecue - Last year the Barbecue was a huge hit with Ernie and I!
We decided to have a change from our usual Lodges this year and try a Cottage instead! I'm really looking forward to spending time with Mum and Dad, Sam and Pete and especially Ernie for a whole week in October to play and go for long walks filled with new smells to sniffle and run through fields and then relax in the cosy cottage! I'm so excited!!!

This will be our third "Annual Dog Holiday" we also went in 2011 and 2010 and had an amazing time (check out the links) to see our past adventures!
Have a great weekend!

Ernie Update!

Thank you so much for the "Power of Paw" that everyone gave to Ernie!

He went to the Vet and had an X-ray on his spine, hips and legs and he had a check up and blood work done, it cost his Pawrents (Sam and Pete) over £300.00 but he was worth every penny!
The Vet called them to come and collect Ernie and they sat them down, Sam was very anxious and the Vet said there was good news and bad news and of course Sam and Pete feared the worst!
The Vet told them they all his X-rays were fine and that there was no damage, no arthritis or hip displasia. The Blood work came back normal, the vet said that he was a healthy dog and the bad news is that they had paid all that money to have him checked over when he was fine!!
So what was causing him to limp and have problems with his back legs?
The Vet said it could have been a problem with his muscles in his leg but he is ok to walk and more importantly to play with me and is able to come on the "dog holiday" with me! Wahoo!
A big thank you to everyone as we were all worried and your kind messages helped immensely!

The Trail leads to fallen trees! Oh No!

We found an old house falling apart in the middle of the forest!

What a wild day!
We had to walk through the woods and away from the trail because of all of the fallen trees but we eventually got home safe and sound using Dads survival skills, it was amazing and I was worn out, time for cuddles and a sleep, Zzzzzzzz....
