Gunpowder, Treason and Plot.
We see no reason why
Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!"
In November 1605, the infamous Gunpowder Plot took place in which a man called Guy Fawkes and a group of plotters attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London with barrels of gunpowder placed in the basement. They wanted to kill King James and the king’s leaders. Guy Fawkes was arrested and this story is remembered each 5th November when 'Guys' (like scarecrows) are burned in a celebration known as "Bonfire Night". Bonfires are lit and fireworks explode in the night sky and people gather for food and enjoy the nights events. As a little Puggy I get scared of the fireworks, they are so loud and I run around barking at them but I do like looking at them sparkle and the food is always so nice, Mum eats toffee apples or cinder toffee and hot dogs and we make lovely beef stews made with cider or stout and eat it with chunky bread rolls! Mmmmmm! I'm excited!
I hope you all have a good weekend!
The fireworks scare me too, Frank. But those foodables sound extra yummy! Enjoy your weekend!

I don't like fireworks either Frank, I made my Mommy snuggle in bed with me to keep me from screaming. She falls for it every time!
