Meet Rubie!

Rubie is my newest follower, to be honest I saw her comment on a Blog and had to get to know her, she looks just like my friend Jasper!! Rubie is a miniature schnauzer from Australia!

She is so super cute and I have enjoyed reading her blog, she has some wonderful adventures, most recently she met Santa Paws who gave her a stocking full of treats!! Yummy!

What else do I know about her so far? Well I know that she is very scared of thunder sounds and her Human Dad calls me a "woos"! She says that she dislikes the hot weather, Jasper doesn’t do too well in the heat either! I love this photo of her on the beach, her home looks so beautiful! She says she loves food but like Jasper and myself she has to watch her weight! Every week Rubie has a play date with her two mini schnauzer cousins - Scarlet and Zoe which feature in on blog! I'm looking forward to hearing more of her adventures!

Woodland Winter Walkies!

I have been having extra long and hard walks to get me skinny since the Vet put me on a diet! Mum took me on a woodland walk with big hills, steps and mixed terrain to get my Puggy behind wiggling and waggling all that fat away!

There are so many good smells out here in the wilderness!

Mum made me walk all the way up these steps!

Can't we take the easy way up Mum?? Its too hard to walk up ALL of these steps!

Wahoo! I made it to the top, now its all down hill from here!!

I had such a good walk Mum. Thank you, there are so many good smells and tastes out here!

I'm really sleepy though, lets go home for a bowl of diet kibbles and a long sleep....

Diet Dilema!

I had a dream last night .... it was of all the food that I couldn't eat!

Its only the third day of my diet and its driving me crazy, the smells of all the foodables are a nightmare and all I can have are my diet kibbles and a carrot, I'm going to go crazy, I want to have my favourite snack big juicy fat flavourful SAUSAGES!!!!

I’m a Fatty Puggy!

  

I went for my Vet Check in Valley Vets in Ystrad Mynach, I really love it there, the staff are amazing and always fuss me, they take care of me really well and they are so friendly. I saw Stephanie Pelaez-Heras besides being a vet she is the weight specialist, she runs a fat club for overweight pets and guess what… I was told that I need to be put on a diet! Yes I am too fat!  I have to be 9kg but I am over 12kg and I have been given diet food, I’m not allowed any treats at all except for carrots to chew on and veggies! I was looking a little embarrassed when I sat on the scales to be weighed, I’ve been on a diet for a while to try and control my weight but this time it’s more serious, I don’t want to get sick, it’s going to be my new year’s resolution to get to my goal weight!

I’m on the Vet Prescription Diet™ Canine r/d™ with Chicken - Key benefits are: Scientifically proven to reduce body fat by at least 22% in 8 weeks, Supplemented with L-carnitine and lysine to burn fat and preserve muscle, High in dietary fiber to help reduce hunger and discourage begging and it has a New great taste … apparently! I’m going to need lots of encouragement from everyone but I’m going to try my hardest! Mum is going to be off work for a while for her Christmas break so she is going to take me on one short walk (around the village) and one long walk (like my usual Saturday 2 hour walk in the woodlands) a day to try and get skinny! Mum says I’m only allowed to have a turkey dinner with veggies for Christmas but that is the only time I am allowed any “people food” apart from my kibbles, which have also been cut back! So roll on Christmas day! Forget Santa Paws I’m excited for the food!!

Yet another wet winter walk, I've had about enough of the rain!
 Its the second day of December and I'm not feeling very Christmassy with this rain - Where is the snow??

My Buddy Bellatrix!

Bellatrix is one of my Blogville friends, I have been following her for a while but she deserves a post all to herself for all the times she has made me laugh giggle and snort with her funny antics and entertaining way of looking at the world! She also has such a big heart and the way that she helped with little Emi was so touching, I’m just so sad that it didn’t work out for you but hopefully she is so happy now in her new home!

So who is Bellatrix? I hear you ask …. Bellatrix is a sexy and very sassy black female pug that was named after a Harry Potter character, her Mom said "Bellatrix was the most loyal character of all the books. She would protect Voldermort with her life." She is from East Bay California.

My Mum is a "Pug Slut" she loves all things Pug and loves Belly because such a sucker for Black Pugs, she loves them and wants to get me a new Brother or Sister who is a Black Pug, she says that they are cute because you can’t see where their snouts join their smushy faces and on Puggys like me who are fawn you can and Mum thinks its funny! Thank you all so much for your kind well wishes, power of paw and healing thoughts for my best pal Jasper - he is home from the Vet now after a long stay and has been given medication and some loving from his Pawents and is feeling much, much better, he has been put on a diet to keep his condition under control and will he bouncing about the house in no time!

I'm looking forward to seeing him at Christmas for extra Pug Hugs and Licks for him! Thank you all again, Love from Frank xxxxx
