Power of Paw needed for Jasper!!



JASPER

Jasper has been very ill he is in the vets today on an overnight stay, he went in yesterday and has already stayed one night and after having bloods taken and a check-up has now been diagnosed with Pancreatitis.

 Pancreatitis is inflammation and swelling of the pancreas. The cause of spontaneous pancreatitis in dogs is not well understood but it is more prevalent in dogs on high-fat diets. An attack may be triggered by eating table scraps or a fatty meal. Jasper does eat a lot of fatty foods so we think thats its why he is ill and he will have to be on a special diet for the rest of his life to control it.

Acute pancreatitis is characterized by the abrupt onset of vomiting and severe pain in the abdomen. Abdominal pain is caused by the release of digestive enzymes into the pancreas and surrounding tissue. Diarrhea, dehydration and weakness.

All my love and healing thoughts go out to him and his family, he is my best friend and I'm looking forward to him being fit and healthy ready for us to see each other at Christmas!

A Wet Walk!

Its been raining all week - Even my nice warm waterproof army coat wont make me happy to walk in this drizzle!

My High Visibility Coat!

Mum got me a high visibility coat for our dark night time walks and I love it!

Mum says that I look like a workman and laughed but I think I look stylish and it will keep me safe, as you can see the bright strips glow in the light so cars will be able see me!

We went out for a walk in the rain, I dont like the rain at all but I like spending time with Mum and Aunty Ashley, so this photo is of me running after her as she always gives me treats, ok the treats are mainly to make me walk in the rain because if I had my way I would want to be carried the whole walk but we only went around the block and it wasnt heavy rain so I was ok, EVERYONE we saw gave comments on my coat, they all thought that it was a good idea and told me I looked cute!!

The Train is Coming!

On my walk last night I had just finished crossing the rail track when we heard a distant rumble, followed by a whistle and then the train came along fast!

There it goes, it took ages to pass and the train was really long!

Stop, Look and Listen - It is VERY important that everyone takes notice of the signs by rail tracks, I cross the track all the time and I stop at the gate and Mum puts me on my lead, I make sure that my Puggy ears are pricked up and listening all the time, I look both ways then once I'm sure that it is clear to cross Mum takes me along the track to the other side! So stay safe everyone!



Suicide Dog - She Is Back!

For those of you who are new to the Blog this is Meg, affectionately know as "Suicide Dog" we haven't seen her for some time now but on the weekend we spotted her in the fields having a little walk guarding her home ground.

Tank V Tank - The outcome!

This is Sam and Pippen from British Columbia in Canada, Apparently Sam's the brains and Pippen's the brawn, Oh and good looking one, they are my recent followers and such handsome fellows! Turns out he WASN'T trying to steal my name after all but before I had a chance to clear his good name he got put in a time out! I'm sure that he has learned his lesson not to mess with this little Puggy and now we can be furry friends forever!  What do ya say??

My new and old Friends! My Blog has been going for over a year now and only recently have I had such a glorious following, so many of you, each with your own Puggy personalities! This is Tank the Lhasa Apso, From Overland Park, KS, USA he is a recent follower to my blog but I think his intentions are less than good ... he is trying to steal my name, I think I am going to have to keep a very close eye on him to see what he is up to!! In a recent comment he said:

My Long Weekend Walk With Autny Ashley and Mum.

I love going on long walks, especially as the nights are so dark now that I just walk around the streets in the village on lead under the glow of the street lights! On the weekends on the nature walks Mum lets me off lead all the way so I can be free to sniff and indulge my Puggy senses!

 I see a babbling brook, we have had a lot of rain these past couple of days so the water was flowing fast and it was really deep!

We went over the boardwalk with all the beautifully coloured crunchy fallen leaves.

Then we walked over to the cycle track and to the lake and to Parc Penallta!

The colours of the trees were just wonderful!

I took in the beautiful views!

Over a wooden bridge I take a long lingering look at the water rushing under my Puggy Paws!

Up through the Panallta trails we meet a new friend, a Black Labrador cross.

We had a sniff and a little play!

Then back off walking on my adventures....

"You are loved" there are always messages on the nature walks, its like the universe wants to tell us all something! We are all loved!

We walked all the way up on to the look out point, The Observatory, Mum says it looks like the aliens are going to land here one day! I say beam me up Scotty Dog!

Aunty Ashley loves coming on walks with Me and Mum and I love her coming too, she gives me lots of love and treats, Mum loves Ashley coming for walks too because she loves her so much and misses her, Aunty Ashley is Mums Sister!

I love the wonderful peace and tranquility of the woodlands here, you really do feel calm listening to all the birds singing and seeing all the animals that live there, its really nice, especially the smells! Wow!

Then on the way home me and Mum found a small friend ...

A little Hedgehog! Isn't he so cute! They usually only come out in the night but he must have been lost, Mum put him back in the hedge and he curled up in to a ball! Mum loves animals!
